AOG Representative

This position is part of the global customer support team
responsible for responding to and actioning urgent customer orders
for Priority 1 (AOG - (Aircraft On Ground)) and 2 (PAOG) situations
as deemed necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, ordering,
procuring and expediting orders to clients as quickly as possible
within defined contractual obligations and to record all transactions
accordingly to measure corporate performance relative to defined
objectives.

Responsibilities:
Receive and respond to Priority 1 (AOG) and 2 (PAOG) customer
requests generated either through electronic means, such as
Customer Orders received through Source-1, or by way of
Customer request for service received by voice (telephone/Skype)
communication
Initiate a Customer Order within the Source-1 order procurement
system
Use all means available to search global sources to fulfill the
requirement, including sourcing from outside vendors as
appropriate
Liaise with other company personnel and outside agencies, which
may include the negotiation of contracts with vendors and suppliers
Place Purchase Order directly with vendors, if necessary
Expedite all urgent shipments including confirming shipping details
and confirming appropriate expedited means of conveyance to
meet the defined requirement
Communicate with the customer, confirming order status, shipping
information and estimated time of arrival
Record all relevant information regarding each order
Report all activities using the appropriate reporting methods to
measure corporate performance objectives
Provide additional and/or back-up support to other Customer
Support Representatives in the local team including, as
appropriate, vacation relief or other duties
International travel may be required
May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:
Ideally a background in aircraft maintenance
A university degree or equivalent education, training and
experience
A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience preferably within
an aviation environment.
Ability to organize and prioritize a demanding workload
Strong computer skills including Excel and experience with
inventory management systems
Self-motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality
Excellent listening, verbal and written communication
Excellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to
implement solutions
Ability to work in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment
Demonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Experience or knowledge of material planning inventory and
purchasing concepts as well as familiarity with aircraft operating
overhaul or manufacturing environment an asset
Supply Chain experience within a global environment preferred
Must be able to work shift work
